That's my 3rd normal win, and second with randomly rolled character. I tried to get mindcrafter, but rolled Unicorn and thought "oh well, let's try something random". The game was really fun, meleeing ASB and balors/Fisty on D50 was great. I didn't really use spells, wished for Concentration after BDC (found wand of wishing there), and without it PP regen was just nonexistent. Early game went pretty smooth. I managed to livesac precrown in VD, it took loooot of time and a few trips to Terinyo for food, but the reward was very well worth it: shining silver bracers, otherwise known as Bracers of War. They made the character much more hard to kill. ;) UD featured two! random miscellaneous shops, nothing exciting there though. Also, there was a ring and scroll shop in CoC just above Dwarftown. Scrolls were useful for defense/ protection/identify etc, and ring shop netted ring of ice for ToEF (it was too high to generate RoDS, sadly). Monster quest was ratling thief I think, pretty easy. Big Room was pacified, but not much herbs there and I didn't have Herbalism. Later, one of animated trees dropped RoDS :D - just in time to save Khelly. Next was a trip to Pyramid and Griffyard, pretty uneventful. Visited ID briefly while in the area and searched for blink dogs, but got bored really quickly and left. I scouted CoC all the way to the wall of flame (water temple was very easy as always) and went to Darkforge. Cleared the place, found Robes of Resistance there (I think). Pools yielded dooming or two (removed by trip to Dwarftown), removed my teleport control and granted permanent invisibility and teleportitis. Oh well, fair exchange I guess. Wore ring of teleport control from now on. And, of course, there was another wish. I used it for girdle of giant strength. In retrospect it was not the best choice - I forgot it is leather and cannot be smithed. Could wish for Concentration to make more use of spellcasting, or even 7LB. Before DF (I think) I was crowned, getting lightning immunity and the nice emerald dagger - Serpent's Bite. I used it most of the time, sometimes changing to my sword of devastation or penetration. Btw, Thrundarr gave me Rolf's Companion, and the mystic - Rolf's Saviour. Yes, the Big Punch was not generated at all. :P I used the fine shield for most of the time. After that the time has come for ToEF. It was pretty easy, Wyrm was wanded and finished with melee. Then, I went to fetch RotHK, lucky wand of cold helped to cross the lake. 90 day limit was nearing and I still planned to try out smithing for the first time, so I went to Rift. Fetched some nice scrolls and few books there, and the Librarian was nice to give me the weird tome. I cashed it for SoCRs at minstrel's and proceeded to mine/smith for a while (Glod was killed by a greater demon, how sad). After pimping my gear up pretty heavily, I felt ready for anything. It was around day 90, I braced myself and ventured deep into the Caverns. Everything went pretty smooth except some two doppleganger kings pretty soon after Dwarftown - they scared me a bit with blows punching right through my (impressive ;) defenses. Casino didn't give me anything fun except for 7LB, not that useful now, and in truth I didn't use them much. I missed the surface shortcut, but hell, didn't want to backtrack anyway. Finally, I've met the most difficult enemy in the whole game - the extremely angry Cat Lord. His ring would be pretty sweet for an assassin with Serpent's Bite, but well, one can't have everything. Anyway, I wasn't really prepared for the hell that ensued - I was lvl 25, and despite my ~180 DV on coward and ~75 PV he was punching me like a sleeping baby. And was a lot of faster too, even with 7LB. I lured him to the level that allows teleporting and managed to web/shoot him finally. Whew! Got 3 levels from that. Air temple was easy, earth temple was meleed through (ASB took 9 hits to kill, never harmed me). I then went to meet Sharad-Waador and descended into blue dragon caves. No real problems there, meleed everything and killed Srraxxarrakex (took a while though). Nice xp, nice treasure - found a wand of wishing (3 charges) after IDing everything. Wished for Concentration and potion of uselessness which gave me scorched spear on D:49 (bah). Mana temple was surprisingly easy: I shot almost everything without wizards summoning or Archmage waking up. Big bad guy was shot, cleared the rest for xp. I proceeded to slaughter everything in D:50, shooting and eventually meleeing balors too. Corruption was not as much problem as I feared, in the end I could survive with only scrolls from Khelly. Got stiff muscles 3 or 4 times though. :P The gate was shut, corruption was cleared thanks to the white unicorn (which came with me to meet his twin btw). After that I went to Assassin guild and established a new order there.
